ORDER:

In the representation 3rd read above, the Andhra Pradesh Nursing  Institutions Management Association (APNIMA) has represented that due  to the rigidity of APEAPCET, which was introduced in the G.O., 2nd read  above for admission into B.Sc., (Nursing), many of the students are losing  their opportunity to get admission into B.Sc (Nursing), as the most of the  nursing aspirants are coming from the rural areas. Further, stated that  the neighboring states of Telangana, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala  are making admissions into B.Sc (Nursing) without clause of any entrance  examinations and only with merit marks in intermediate or equivalent  examination. They have therefore requested the Government to give  relaxation to fill the Management seats and left over Convener seats  without APEAPCET or NEET entrance exam and with intermediate courses  with merit in science subjects.

2. In the circumstances reported by the Director of Medical Education,  A.P/the Registrar, Dr.NTR UHS/ the Registrar, A.P.Nurses & Midwives  Council in the references 4th to 6th read above, the Government after  careful examination of the matter, hereby accord permission to fill up the  leftover convenor Quota seats and balance Management seats for B.Sc  Nursing Admissions for this academic year 2024-25 without APEAPCET  entrance exam, as follows:

a) Left over Convener Quota seats of B.Sc.(Nursing) Course: If any seats are left vacant/unfilled under Convener Quota after all  rounds of counseling, those seats shall be allowed to be filled with  marks obtained by the candidates in Intermediate (Class XII) as per  the guidelines as per merit under convenor quota only.

b) Left over/balance of Management Quota Seats of  B.Sc.(Nursing) course: If any seats remain unfilled under  Management Quota, balance management quota seats can be  allowed to be filled by taking merit in Intermediate marks (Class  XII).

3. The Government hereby directs the Registrar, Dr NTRUHS also to  take immediate necessary steps for conducting common entrance exam  for the purpose of B.Sc(Nursing) Admissions from the next Academic Year  2025-26 as per the Revised INC Regulations-2020.

4. The Director of Medical Education, AP.,/ the Registrar, Dr NTRUHS  shall take necessary action in the matter accordingly.
